Windrush Applications

Windrush Scheme | Amicis Legal Services Ltd

The Windrush Scheme provides an opportunity for long-term UK residents, who may have the right of abode or indefinite leave to remain, but lack the necessary documents to prove their entitlement to work, access benefits, or avail of other essential services. Our goal at Amicis Legal Services Ltd is to assist individuals in obtaining the required documents to confirm their immigration status through the Windrush Scheme. Some applicants may even be eligible for British citizenship without any cost.

Eligibility Criteria for the Windrush Scheme

You may apply to the Windrush Scheme if you fall under any of the following categories:

  • Commonwealth Citizen: You settled in the UK before 1 January 1973 or had the right of abode.
  • Child of a Commonwealth Citizen: If you are the child of a Commonwealth citizen who settled in the UK before 1 January 1973 or had the right of abode, and you were born in the UK or arrived before you turned 18.
  • Any Nationality: You settled in the UK before 31 December 1988, irrespective of your nationality.

Application Process and Free Assistance

The application to the Windrush Scheme is free of charge. We understand the complexities of the process, which is why we have established a dedicated helpline to offer advice and support to applicants. If you have any uncertainties about your status or face difficulties in proving your residence in the UK, seeking legal advice from an immigration adviser is highly recommended.
